# CyberBrain26 v4.1 source audit — 2026-10-01

## Active implementation areas

- `src/cyberbrain26/control_plane/`: in-memory event bus and callable task
  queue; an opt-in SQLite named-job queue now provides durable JSON payloads.
- `src/cyberbrain26/security_plane/`: identity, policy, permission, approval,
  audit, firewall, quality gates, and local heuristic privacy redaction.
- `src/cyberbrain26/execution_plane/`: authorized Python/shell execution using
  Bubblewrap; see `EXECUTION_SECURITY_REVIEW.md` for host and sandbox limits.
- `src/cyberbrain26/model_layer/`: local/provider clients, registries, and
  routing; live provider health was not tested in this audit.
- `src/cyberbrain26/orchestration/`: Ptah orchestration, with optional durable
  SQLite task/audit/approval state.
- `src/cyberbrain26/data_plane/`: SQLite migrations, project memory,
  provenance, keyword retrieval, and retention support.

## Placeholder or incomplete areas

- `governance_plane/`, `experience_layer/`, `personal_ai_layer/`, and
  `integration_layer/` remain mostly placeholders.
- Browser, Git, container/microVM and external agent-runtime execution are not
  production backends. The Phase 7 execution slice is Python/shell only.
- SQLite storage is a local single-host prototype. It is not encrypted and
  does not provide distributed locking, secure erasure, or ChromaDB vector
  search.

## KEEP / REVIEW / ARCHIVE classification

- **KEEP:** current roadmap, source tree, current tests, status reports,
  execution integration reports, and model/security phase notes.
- **REVIEW before release:** all paths with staged and unstaged content; the
  working-tree snapshot is what local tests exercise.
- **ARCHIVE candidate, left untouched:** dated security backup directory and
  `ptah_bridge.py.phase6-backup`.
- **No files were dropped or reset.** The working tree remains uncommitted.

## Verification limits

Tests and static checks are recorded in `PROJECT_STATUS.md`. They are evidence
for selected prototype behavior, not a security certification. Older audit
reports are historical and were not revalidated as part of this source audit.
