# Working tree baseline review

**Reviewed:** 2026-10-01
**Branch and HEAD at review:** `master`, `b8c71d2` (`chore: close clean baseline checkpoint`)
**Scope:** staged, unstaged, and untracked files present before this follow-up
implementation.

## Classification

- **KEEP — roadmap and status evidence:** the v4.1 roadmap, project structure,
status reports, Phase 3/5 reports, and execution integration reports are
project documentation. Retain them; align the current status report with
this implementation and keep older dated reports historical.
- **KEEP — implementation and regression coverage:** staged security/model
foundations and their tests, plus unstaged Control Plane, model client,
agent, CLI, Ptah bridge, execution, and test changes belong to the working
prototype. They were left in place and the complete current suite was run.
- **REVIEW BEFORE RELEASE:** staged and unstaged versions coexist for several
  paths. Their index content and working-tree content are distinct snapshots;
the working-tree version is what local tests exercise. Review/split the
intended changes before creating a release commit.
- **ARCHIVE CANDIDATE — preserved:** `security_plane_backup_20260923_210356/`
  and `src/cyberbrain26/orchestration/ptah_bridge.py.phase6-backup` are backups,
not package modules. They remain untouched as forensic/history material.
- **REGENERATE — completed here:** `source-audit.txt` was empty in the reviewed
index. It is now populated with the current source-area classification and
  audit limitations.

## Git disposition

At review time `git status` contained 69 paths: 51 with staged changes, 30 with
unstaged tracked changes, and 10 untracked paths (categories overlap). No files
were reset, staged, committed, or deleted. The tree intentionally remains
uncommitted so existing user work is preserved. Therefore this review closes
the classification task, but does not claim that Git is a clean release
baseline.

## Verification boundary

The local quality checks validate the current working tree. They do not
validate the staged index as an independent build, live model-provider services,
or the security of arbitrary hostile-code execution. See
`PROJECT_STATUS.md` and `EXECUTION_SECURITY_REVIEW.md` for the current
verification record and sandbox limits.
