## Completed: Modular Contracts Checkpoint (Masterplan v4.1)

All core contracts implemented and validated:
- `Agent` protocol with security boundary requirements
- `AgentRegistry` with deterministic role-based lookup
- `TaskDispatcher` with Identity → Policy → Permission → Audit flow
- `InMemoryAgentRegistry` / `InMemoryTaskDispatcher` concrete implementations
- `BaseAgent` + 5 specialized agents with identity/permission integration

## Immediate Next Tasks

### 1. Approval Integration
- Wire `ApprovalManager` into `PermissionGateway` for `REQUIRE_APPROVAL` flow
- Add async approval wait with timeout in dispatcher
- Test human-in-the-loop scenarios

### 2. Audit Logging
- Replace `_audit_log()` stub with persistent audit store
- Add structured logging (JSON) with correlation IDs
- Integrate with `AgentIdentity` for full traceability

### 3. Distributed Registry/Dispatcher
- Implement `RedisAgentRegistry` for multi-process deployments
- Add `QueueTaskDispatcher` with persistence and retry
- Add health checks and circuit breakers

### 4. AgentTransport (A2A)
- Flesh out `AgentTransport` protocol implementations
- Add gRPC/HTTP transports for agent-to-agent communication
- Implement service discovery integration

### 5. Policy Enhancements
- Add policy-as-code (YAML/JSON rule files)
- Implement policy versioning and rollback
- Add risk-based dynamic policy adjustment

### 6. Test Coverage Gaps
- Integration tests for full Identity→Policy→Permission→Audit→Execute chain
- Load tests for round-robin dispatcher under contention
- Chaos tests for registry/dispatcher failure modes
